Internship with NY Critic/Curator

New York Critic and Curator seeking an intern to work one, possibly two days a week, who has writing skills to manage social media (Twitter, Instagram and/or Facebook sites), assist with managing schedules, opportunities, organizing appearances, and basic office duties. The intern will learn skills of organizing, how to communicate with professionals in the art world and work beside a working art critic learning writing and editing skills, as well as gaining an intimate knowledge of the contemporary art world. Position needs a qualified, special person who is responsible, ambitious and professional and who is willing to assist with several curatorial and book projects, which will include communicating with artists, institutions and publishing houses. Knowledge of written Spanish a plus, but not necessary. Travel and lunch will be paid for. This is an exceptional educational and professional opportunity located in Brooklyn, New York. Kassan Foundation Fellowship

The Kassan Foundation provides financial assistance to underprivileged artists who work in a representational style of painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpting, are in the early or developmental stage of their career, and demonstrate a commitment to making art a lifetime career.

This is the second annual year, the 2014 Fellows will receive 5,000 USD each.
