2015 CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour - Call to Artists

The CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour in Mankato, MN is currently accepting outdoor sculpture submissions for the 2015 tour. The deadline to submit your application is November 1, 2014. The mission of the CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour is to provide a professional, year-round outdoor sculpture program in the City Centers of Mankato and North Mankato that is both high-quality and artist-friendly. We feature a well-balanced exhibit with all styles, types, materials and sizes of sculptures from a broad range of artists – local, regional, national and international.  Over the last four years, CityArt has sold ten sculptures from its program and has facilitated several commissioned pieces. For more information on our program, visit www.cityartmankato.com.

How It Works
The 2015 CityArt Walking Sculpture Tour is planned to include over 30 sculptures in the core blocks of Mankato and North Mankato, MN. Instead of purchasing the artworks outright, CityArt obtains sculptures on loan from artists each year and provides nearly $30,000 in artist prize money which includes prizes for Best-of-Show (bronze & other material) and the People’s Choice Award. The sculptures are displayed for about one year (May to April).
