Call for artists for outdoor art installation - Underline Gallery

Chelsea Gallery is looking for an artist or artists to use the blank slate of the facade of the Gallery building for an art installation / project that is representative of both the artist and the gallery - interpreting the ideas and mission of the artwork represented at the Gallery, while addressing challenges of missing out on walk-by traffic and embracing the street culture.
This is a huge opportunity for an artist to gain exposure by having their work on view day and night on the busy thoroughfare of W. 14th st. for up to one year; and for the Gallery to gain exposure in it's infancy. Because of the long duration of the 'exhibition,' 1. The design needs to be fresh, relevant and timeless, and 2. The materials need to be durable and resilient.

Artist in Residence in Italy - Studio Borgo

The Artist in Residence program at Studio Borgo provides an opportunity for creative growth and professional development for established artists. In the charming setting of Borgo a Mozzano, Lucca, artists can take part in a contemplative and inspiring atmosphere while leaving other, everyday responsibilities and obligations behind. This can be a time of cultural exchange and reflection, ultimately resulting in a meaningful body of work or at the very least, a new direction. Because longer commitments can be more difficult at times, artists may find the relatively shorter periods of our AIR program (one or two weeks) more convenient. Two week resident artists at Studio Borgo will conclude their stay on a high note... with an Open Studio exhibit and reception.
