POSITION: Paid Internship
Part Time: 2-3 days a week, 10 am to 6 pm

David Zwirner is currently looking to fill the position of paid, part-time Front Desk Intern for Spring/Summer 2013.

The Intern will assist the Gallery Assistant with all front-of-house operations of a contemporary art gallery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Answering multi-line phone system and directing calls to a staff of 20
-Greeting clients and general public visitors to the gallery
-Receiving and directing exhibition and installation inquiries from gallery visitors
-Basic Photoshop work (resizing images, pairing images with text for print, outputting images, basic scanning from books and transparencies)
-Online purchasing and distribution of office and kitchen supplies for gallery

Applicants must be currently enrolled in an art history, museum studies, and/or arts administration degree program. Strong verbal communication skills, poise, and an acute attention to detail are necessary. Good working knowledge of Photoshop and computer systems a must. Knowledge of modern and contemporary art history a must. Applicants must be willing to learn the daily front-of-house operations of a contemporary art gallery from the ground up, and be professional, presentable, reliable, and discrete.
