Arts@Renaissance is now seeking three North Brooklyn community-based artists from any discipline to participate in our studio residency program this summer. Participating artists will be granted raw studio space from the first week of May through final week of August. Artists are responsible for all material costs and installation. Proposals with strong artistic merit from artists with a direct and tangible connection to the North Brooklyn community are preferred. Please note that for this program, residency applications are limited to artists who live or work in the North Brooklyn neighborhoods of Greenpoint, Williamsburg and Bushwick.
A@R is an innovative 4,500 square foot arts space in the restored outpatient building of the Greenpoint Hospital that serves as a bridge between North Brooklyn's vibrant long-term communities and the area's emerging creative population through the development of new multi disciplinary work, residencies, workshops, and collaborative neighborhood art projects.
