Cute Bushwick Apartment Sublet-$1,200/mo

We're going to Italy for a month for a residency and a little travel, and we're subletting our true 2 bedroom apartment from May 1- June 1 (also will be available through June 15, prorated for that 2 week period).  Bright and sunny corner apartment with lots of windows. 1/2 block from the Jefferson L (15 minutes to Union Square).  The area is half residential, and half industrial.  There are many artists living and working in the area; in the studios off the Morgan stop, BFP East, on Cypress and in the Troutman Building.  In fact, if you're an artist, and looking for workspace, we're also subletting our lovely studio for the month, which is about 2 blocks away from the apartment.
About the apartment:  TONS of windows, washer and dryer in the apartment (yay for no laundromats!), quiet neighbors and close to many shops and bars - Hana Natural Food Market, Wyckoff-Starr Coffee shop, Northeast Kingdom, Pearls Social Club, Soho Art Materials Brooklyn, Bodega Bar, Green Village Thrift Shop, and more.  We love it and hope you'll love it, too.  Please provide us with at least one reference, and rent for the month, $1,200 is all that is needed for the sublet (if you want to stay through June 15, rent will only be an extra $600). Contact stephanie.a.lindquist@gmail.com for more info.

Bushwick Studio Sublet - $325/mo + utilities

I'm going to Italy for a month and a half (May 1-June 15) to do some travel with a friend and for a residency, and I'm subletting my gorgeous, sun-drenched studio space (2 blocks up and 1 over from the Jefferson L).  The space is approx 220 sq. ft of a 660 sq. ft space, with 20+ feet of wall space to hang work or make work on.  I'm a sculptor and I do big charcoal drawings, so the space isn't necessarily pristine, but you can consider it "artistically broken-in." The wall facing the south has huge windows, and the light is stunning all day and into the evening.  Some of the windows can be opened and the space gets a good cross breeze - it stays much cooler than the other spaces in the building.  You'll be sharing the space with an event planner/photographer who is rarely there, and a sculptor/installation artist, who will be with me in Italy until June 1st - so you basically will be alone most of the time.  What the studio has: sink (cold water only), hot plate, and we use clamp lights at night.  You can use my work table and the shelving above the work table for your supplies, any of my reference books, and my ancient dell laptop, if you don't feel like bringing your own computer to and from the studio.  I'll have most of my stuff on a metal shelf in the corner, and behind the door, covered and out of your way.
About the building: loading dock and freight elevator are around the corner from the studio, and there's a deck (beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline) for chilling/smoke breaks and socializing, wifi throughout the building.  Bathrooms are down the hall.  The building is full of artists, creative small businesses, and designers - it's a really nice community to work in.  You'll be in the space for Bushwick Open Studios, so take advantage of it; this building gets the highest volume of foot traffic of all the studio spaces in the area.  Building has 24 hr access, and there's decent street parking if you have a car.  Space is $325/mo + utlities (generally around $20/mo), and I'll prorate the rent for June 1-15, security will be another half month's rent.  Contact me with any questions!  meredith.rachel.art@gmail.com
